4Runner Jamboree 2003
The annual "4Runner Jamboree" started out more than a decade ago as a way for a loosely knit group of Toyota-driving web-wheelers to get together to do some real wheeling and match user names and email addresses with faces and rigs. Despite the name more and more pickup and even Landcruiser owners are coming to the 4Runner Jamboree every year. As the event has grown, so has the need for organization. Allpro Offroad has stepped up to the plate for the last several years in a row to organize and sponsor the event as a thank you to the Toyota community.
4Runner Jamboree 2002
The 10th annual 4Runner Jamboree was held April 12-14th in Johnson Valley, home of the famous Hammer trails. Sponsored by All-Pro Offroad, this year's event drew nearly 200 Toyota trucks, 4runners, and Land Cruisers. The event was open to all Toyotas and featured organized trail runs of all levels during the day, a BBQ and raffle on Saturday night, and lots of truck talk!
4Runner Jamboree 2000
The 8th annual 4Runner Jamboree took place in the Stoddard Valley OHVA. Jon and Tracy Bundrant of All Pro Off Road organized the event. Some participants arrived at camp Friday night, while most opted to take advantage of the hotels located nearby in Barstow.

Most of the trail consists of a two-track dirt road winding through granite boulders and lined by pine trees.
Central Sierras
With 63 campgrounds, 11 reservoirs and lakes, five wilderness areas and hundreds of miles of hiking, horse, and off-road vehicle trails, the Sierra National Forest, located east of Fresno, California, is a popular area for outdoor recreation. Visitors enjoy fishing, hiking, boating, whitewater rafting, horseback riding and camping. Here's a list of high Sierra 4x4 trails, with directions to trailheads, in the Fresno area. Trails include Strawberry Lake, Coyote Lake, Dusy, Bald Mountain, and Swamp Lake, among others.

Drew's Rubicon Bash 2002
For the third year in a row on Father's Day weekend, Toyota truck and 4Runner enthusiasts committed themselves to the wrath of the famous Rubicon Trail for Drew's Third Annual Rubicon Bash. Dusy-Ershim OHV Route
Dusy-Ershim is a grueling 33 mile long trail winding through the central Sierra Nevada mountain range. The trail passes by granite domes, alpine lakes, pristine meadows, and dense forests. Obstacles like Chicken Rock, Thompson Hill, and Divorce Rock ensure that drivers spend as much time paying attention to the trail as the scenery.
Gad-Zuk's 9th Annual Big Bear Bash
An early August weekend tour of the San Bernadino Mountains near Big Bear Lake may have looked more like an invasion of Micro Machines had set in upon the sleepy pine-shrouded hamlet. No need to worry though, this was the 9th Annual Big Bear Bash, hosted by the Southern California chapter of Gad-Zuks!, Southern California's chapter of a national Suzuki Samurai club.
Jawbone Canyon and Butterbredt Recreation Areas

The Rubicon is hard enough to run in the summer when the trail is dry and traction is abundant. It is almost impossible to pass under two feet of fresh snow! If you want to run the Rubicon this time of year, make sure to take all precautions for winter survival. It wouldn't take much to have to spend the night out there.
Rubithon 2000
Steeped in tradition, the Toyota Land Cruiser Association’s Rubithon event was once again a success in 2000. This marked the TLCA’s 12th year running the Rubithon, which traverses an equally historical route, the Rubicon Trail. TLCA members from all over the country traveled to the northern Sierra Nevada mountains of California to participate in this event. Land Cruisers, pick-ups, and 4Runners built to every conceivable level of extreme are present, and the amount of information sharing between all of the participants is amazing.

Once again, the California Association of 4Wheel Drive Clubs and the hundreds of volunteers and committee members put on one heck of an event. As in years past, people from all across the United States made the "trek" to Meadow Lake, California for the 35th Annual Sierra Trek. For those that have never attended Trek, this is one of the largest events in California. It's three days of some of the best 4wheeling around. From mild and scenic tours through historic areas around Meadow Lake to the rugged and challenging short wheelbase (SWB) route over the Fordyce Creek trail.

Some folks return year after year just for the food, the cameraderie, the party, or the raffle!

Winter Fun Fest 2004
January is not often considered a peaking four wheeling month, but you could hardly tell from the turnout for the 22nd annual Cal4Wheel Winter Fun Festival. Over 700 people showed up for the event, with nearly all of the 13 scheduled runs selling out well in advance. One of the reasons for Winter Fun's popularity is the diversity of the event. There are trails ranging from dirt roads with a light dusting of snow to passes where the drifts are several feet deep.
Winter Fun Fest 2003
CA4WDC's Grass Valley Four Wheelers organize an annual winter pilgrimmage with the help of many other area clubs. 'Wheelers from miles around drive up the hill to stage at the Nevada County Fairgrounds, then move even further uphill to find snow... snow-wheeling is what they seek, and Winter Fun Fest never disappoints. This year, 4x4Wire's staff ran the difficult Avalanche Express trail.
