The interior and exterior panels were all put together using 0.090" thick
aluminum sheet. All panels are secured to tabs welded to the frame using stainless button head
bolts, and nyloc nuts or nuts welded to the back of the tabs. All panels are easily removable
to provide access to areas of the rig as needed. Here you can also see some of the fuel and
tranny fluid lines, and shifter cable running under the center hump in the floor. Seat mounts
were also added in the floor area.

I installed a set of Corbeau Baja SS seats and angled them back slightly.
Along with the seats, I added a set of G-Force 5-point harnesses. The lap belts and submarine
belts attach to tabs welded or bolted to the chassis, and the shoulder harness belt wraps
around the bar behind the seats.

Since this buggy is meant to be an all-around play rig, I wanted to have some
storage where I could carry tools, trail spares, and various other items. I fabricated a box using
16 gauge sheet steel. It mounts behind the seats and contents are accessible using the hinged top.
Also, the bottom of the box is notched to clear the rear driveshaft and track bar. Behind the box
sits a 1 gallon water jug and a 36" Swamper spare on a tubular rack.

The dash was completed as mentioned in the Wiring section and a Uniden CB rides
on the passenger side next to the dash. A CB antenna mount was installed near the rear of the
storage box. A bike shifter hand throttle has been welded to the steering column and is within easy reach.

I use a 10 lb. CO2 Powertank to provide pressure to my front ARB and to run my
air rachet or pump up tires. I built a mount to secure it to the passenger side rear fastback tube.

This is the final installment showing details of the buildup. Look for a future
article where I discuss the overall results and post some photos of it in action.
