My 1993 T100 4X4 SR5 looks pretty much stock on the outside because I thought it looked great just the way it was, but I have done several
modifcations to the engine to pump out a bit more power. The biggest "gripe" about the first T100 was the lack of power produced from the 3.0 liter V6, but I never really thought it was that bad. I added a K&N air
filter, splitfire sparkplus and a 2 1/2 inch Dynomax exhaust system which gave it a "V8-like" growl and improved performance. Many disbelievers (Chev, Dodge and Ford boys for instance) never gave the T100 credit that it
deserved, saying that it was never tough enough or powerful enough to compete. I am in the construction industry and let me tell you that I have put my T100 to work and I have put my truck through much more than many domestic 1/2
tons can handle. My truck has never let me down. P.S - I also own a 1993 Toyota Xtracb 4X4 V6 and I just bought a 1999 Toyota Tacoma Xtracab 4X4 V6. Roger |
