12V Work Light
This
is a little something I made up myself. The older Toyota SR5's came with
12V outlet shown here (under the speaker). Unfortunately, I've never seen
any tools to plug in here. I decided this would be the perfect thing to
power a work/emergency/camping light. (An all purpose light!) I headed
down to Kragens to buy parts to make one and found something even better...a
12V light with a 20' cord, at the other end was clips to attach to the
battery. I snipped off the clips and soldered on an old AC plug from a
toaster. Then I shrink wrapped the connection to make it durable and somewhat
water proof. To top off the light I put some reflective aluminum tape in
the reflector, this really helps put out more light.
