Opportunities at OutdoorWire

The OutdoorWire is always on the lookout for quality content and good new people as contributors or staff members. The primary qualities we are seeking in new staff members are:

Although we will accept casual contributions of content from people, anybody who desires to join the OutdoorWire as a regular contributor and/or a permanent staff member will be required to sign an OutdoorWire Contributing Staff Agreement.

All OutdoorWire editorial staff and regular contributors are required to have regular use or access to a computer with Internet capabilities including E-mail and WWW access, a camera and an ability to scan and submit photos in electronic format - (this can be done with a digital camera, a personal scanner or scanning service, or by most film developing services).

Some of the benefits of being on staff

Most editorial staff and contributors positions are volunteer positions done out of a pure love for the activity. However, depending on your position, status, and tenure at OutdoorWire, you may find that there are benefits to being on staff and you may be eligible for select staff incentive programs.

These possible benefits and incentives may include but are not limited to: the ability to help others in your sport/activity, an opportunity to communicate with a larger common community of enthusiasts, publicity, admittance into events that you may be covering for OutdoorWire, the opportunity to participate in OutdoorWire sponsored projects or product reviews, OutdoorWire merchandise, cash payments for specific work, eligibility to participate in OutdoorWire revenue sharing plans, and long term eligibility to receive 4x4Wire stock.

All benefits, incentives, and incentive plans are at the discretion of the management of the OutdoorWire and are subject to change, modification or amendments. All positions and programs are subject to specific requirements which may not be disclosed on this page.
