PRESS RELEASE by Explorer Pro Comp - 9/2000

2001 Ford Super Duty F250 & F350 2WD

Twin I-beam 2WD Fords have always been known for their rugged design and the new 2WD Ford Super Duty is no exception. To compliment these impressive Fords, Explorer Pro Comp has engineered 5 inch suspension system built to handle the punishment the trucks are meant to take.

This lift gives a burlier stance that allows fitment of 35" tires.

When building our new Stage 1 system, we kept up with Ford on the strength, but improved the performance. The radius arms on the new Super Duty's are already longer than earlier models and do not need to be extended. The complete system includes new lift coils rated for the Super Duty, heavy duty radius drop down brackets with Pro Comp's exclusive "cross over compression struts", heavy duty I-beam drop brackets, a dropped forged pitman arm, and Explorer Pro Comp's heavy-duty sway bar relocation system. To raise ride height and payload capacity in the rear, an add-a-leaf and block kit are used. 4 ES3000 shock absorbers combined with this system leaves the Ford truck looking factory tough and ready to perform. With enough wheel travel and a system engineered to give full turning radius, this allows you to install up to a 35"x12.5"x16.5" tire mounted on a 16.5"x9.75" wheel and the ride remains stable and comfortable.
