I guess the basic answer is devide the ring gear teeth by the pinion? I
didn't think it was that simple. Partly because I was confused by the
answer I was getting by doing that.
Anyway, I just went out and triple checked the count and it was actually
39 on the ring and 8 on the pinion. (Had Girlfriend write down number
while I cleaned up.....)
So that's 4.875 ?? 4.88's
Next question. Since I'm replacing the rear and not the front. Is there
any danger in mixing different manufacturers gears, front to rear?
