Knock is ignition , the proper fix is retard ignition .
Else stop using 40 octane mexican gas , clean combustion chamber
of the 1/2" long overhanging particle of carbon , or turn of
your glow plugs ! Every knock i've every had was fix'd by retard .
Except turbo , where too much boost will cause auto ignition .
Why would anyone drive an engine w/ 180K miles ? You're goin
to tell me your poor .
BTW Any inventors out there ? I have a clutch invent that makes
your clutch a 5 lb pull . It opposes the diaph' spring with an
even stiffer spring , then a mechanisn has only to pull 5 lbs to engage
clutch , but to pull the release bearing away from clucth needs lot's
of power , but that where my inventions comes in .
Hand operated clutch !
Others are a straight shaft w/o U joints on front prop' shaft ( IFS )
and it also has a shiftable one way cluct to nix binding in turns .

Why would you drive an engine with 50,000? Why not throw it away after a
year?
You're probably just going to say that it's a waste of money to throw away
things that work.
Personally, I never fix or maintain things when I can buy a new product
instead.
facetiously,
