The engine is a 98 4.3 out of an astro van and I am in
the process of buying a 4L60E transmission. The
engine has the computer and all the wiring loom all
the way to the transmission. I have been studying the
Downey engine conversion manual and I have been
questioning how easy they make it look to wire the
chevy loom into the toyota. My plan is that I will
also use a chevy transfercase and have some drivelines
made. Do you know if this is possible to use this
t-case I have yet to see or hear of any one doing
this. Thanks for all your help

I have a friend who has a similar set up in his 4Runner.
he has a fairly built 4.3L, 700R4, NP208, toyota axles with turbo V6
thirds setup with 4.88 gears and the truck is on 38" swampers. He loves
the power it has and the engine does about 1800RPM at 100Km/h (highway
speed) with the overdrive on.
