Happy Holidays Guys!
I have a strange sound coming from my clutch. It sounds to me like the
throw-out bearing has intermittant contact with the center fingers of the
pressure plate. It only happens when it's cold (-5º celcius) and goes away
when the drive train has warmed up. I'm pretty sure it's the bearing because
the sounds goes away with the clutch engaged. And I can only really hear it
when stopped. The clutch is OEM and about 7 years old.
My question is, is this a sign of a worn out bearing and/or incorrect
adjustment? And am I wrong in thinking that the bearing should NOT be in
contact with the pressure plate unless engaged?
Thank for any insight.
