TOY: Toyota 22re timing question

Can a 22re motor run if the cam and crank were 180 degress out?

I replaced my head gasket and during this operation I think the
crank got turned 180 degrees out from the cam. The engine runs
but very, very rough. How can I tell if this is the problem?

Nope, it will not run, (I had my timing out by 180 deg. and it wouldn't run
at all.
the rotor (distributer) should be pointed at #1 and the piston should be at
TDC.

Are you sure that you have the cam belt exactly lined up. A tooth or two
out of synch will cause that problem
