Anyone near Bradenton, Florida?
I'm still reeling from the "sting" of being burned on Ebay with my purchase of
the 5.5 Inch rear lift springs, the outlay of 185 $ with that deal, and No
delivery of the springs to me. :-(
-
My suspension mods for "Bouncing-Betty" continue.
See "BB's" progress http://fly.hiwaay.net/~deesmith/skeletor.html
Yesterday,
while working on the front suspension, I have installed 3.5 inch Front lift
leaf springs.
This brings new issues to light. The Drag Link is at a steep angle and I'm not
feeling comfortable with this steering component having such a steep angle.
1. Anyone have a safer steering alternative for me? (approximate cost?)
I do have a 1991 Toyota 4wd IFS steering gear box.
Would this be a good time to go with a Hi-Steer steering set-up? (approximate
cost?)
2. I'm looking at extended flexible brake lines.
(Tried hooking 2 flex lines together) - with 1 front and one rear and stripped
out the threads on the metal-to-flex connection. :-(
3. I'm wanting the extended front lines to be at least 27 inches long.
(this is 9 inches longer than stock) (approx. cost?)
Any and all help, tips, suggestions with these issues is welcomed. :-)
P.S. -
If there is anyone located near Bradenton, Florida 34210 will you help me in
recovering the 5.5 inch Skyjacker springs? Please let me know. I will make it
worth your while for the delivery of the springs to me. :-)

I sent Mr. Reiter, (the 'seller' and has User ID "schmenge69" through Ebay),
schmenge@tampabay.rr.com a cashier's check number 844779597 in the amount of
185 dollars. I had the winning bid of 125 dollars and sent him an additional 60
dollars for shipping. I checked with my bank and the Cashier's Check was
presented for payment on July 8, 2003.
To see the lift springs in question go to:
and search for 4runner/truck rear 5.5 lift springs - Item #2419336429

Dee,
Sorry if this mail does not relate to you, I am from South Africa and have
98 Toyota Pickup, also in the process of doing all kinds of nice things to
it ;-)
Your brake line questions and others could be answered by the guys at
http://www.aor4x4.com, they have braided lines and will make it as long as
you need them
Good luck
