Re: TOY: Calico Trip - So. CA
They have been notified.
My vote would be to *not* camp at the Ghost town.
Thom, are you going to invite Haskell and Craig?

I'm not hearing from anyone except for Mike Carter that is interested
in going. I realize the timing isn't great being so close to the
Holidays. There are only a couple places where you really would need
4wd and those weren't on the tentative run list. I use 2 wheel low
(unlocked hubs) out there more than anything else. Come on out with
your 2by.

So far Mike is the only person to give me any feedback. It's really
hard to plan a trip when I don't know if we're going to be two vehicles
or 20 vehicles. I'm willing to make this trip, but it comes at a time
when I probably shouldn't be spending the money after being in Baja for
the week of the 1000. If I can't get a couple more commitments I'll
have to bail on the trip. I must say I had a much easier time putting
together a similar trip on the So. CA Early Bronco list, and they knew
I'd be driving a Toyota.
Haskell is aware of it, he shotgunned the Baja trip. Doubt he'll make
it. Craig may recall my mentioning it, but if we are going to go I'll
have to call him again.

I'll be there in spirit. I'm still out though for that weekend. It appears
that I'll be staying out west upon my departure from the canoe club, so I'll
be able to make a run at some other time.
