RE: TOY: Extended brake lines

I probably meant flared fittings. The end of the steel line was flared and
the brass fitting was captive on the line. Is that it?

-James T.

++++++++++++++++++++++
BTW, using a compression fitting in brakes is not a good idea. It's not
that they won't seal or hold the pressure. It's that they are not as
robust as AN/JIC 37* fittings or Inverted Flare Fittings. In other
words they won't continue to hold the pressure. Inverted Flare couplers
are available.

You mean you don't *WANT* to hear about business opportunities in Zimbabwe?
They do, after all, have late-model STOCK straight-axle trucks there... :p
Perhaps the son of the queen (or whichever alleged royal family member is
trying to scam us this week) would pay the fees in 4-door live axle pickups? ;p

This may be of only minimal solace, but I know that we stop 95% of the spam
that gets sent in (you should SEE the size of our trash can, right, Jim?)
We're continually adjusting our mail filters to try to raise that number,
but the spammers are continually adjusting their messages to evade us, as
well. :(

Please hang in there...

Other possible (free, but no showers) campsites would
be near the entrance to Phillips Canyon or down by
Camp Rock.

Looking forward to going! It will be beautiful out
there in December!

Probably. Would be a steel tube nut captive on the metal tube and a
brass coupler that each tube or hose would screw into.

Hey Brandon, thanks for the reply. I did a spring over conversion on my 71
FJ40, the BEST thing I ever did, 7 inches of lift, with a stock ride, and
PLENTY of flex. I like the idea of using longer junkyard springs but I'm new
to the mini world and right now I'm shying away from permanent mods. AOR and
AllPro are relatively expensive but if they're as flexy as they say then
they might be worth it...

I'm investigating the 63" Chevy spring swap right now.
>From what I have read, it sounds like they work great
with no downsides except for their extreme length.
They stick out past the rear tires pretty far and I am
afraid of banging them too much coming off ledges. But
I am interested to hear some "real world" experiences.
