TOY: Safari Snorkel Question
Do they make one for the Gen 1 4Runner with a 22RE?? I looked on their
site, but they don't have it listed, but I know I've seen a lot of
different gen 1 4runners and gen 2 trucks with them on there.

In the review I wrote awhile back I list SS65HF
as the part number for that body style.

So that is the one the will work with the 22RE air box? I know you used
yours on a V6, that's why I thought I'd ask.

I have never been a fan of miracle additives and realize that some along
the lines of the "Slick 50 generation" can do more harm than good, but
recent thread came up on another list about Militec-1
(http://www.militec1.com). Someone pointed out that the active ingredients
are the same as the $.78 Wall-Mart "Super TECH" and $1.77 "STP" oil
treatments: "Contains olefin copolymer and zinc dialkyldithiophosphate".
A search of google has revealed nothing negative about Militec except by
those lumping it in with the other miracle additives.
Has anyone tried Militec or STP / Wally World stuff? Any chance any of
these would harm my 72k 22RE engine? What about adding to the tranny or
diffs as Militec recommends?

Thinking about setting up my truck with a tow bar so I can tow it behind a
friends RV. Looking for recommendations and have a couple of questions.
Stock 86 4x4 except for 10.5x31 tires with factory chrome bumper.
1) thinking about the uhaul tow bar for $110
http://store.uhaul.com/(ax1qasjq1rqoreehtg4a2dnf)/productdetails.aspx?id=4861
? Better options?
2) Can I bolt the brackets to the stock bumper (I would do it right next to
where the bumper mounts from the frame attach)?
3) Just put the transfer case in neutral and leave the steering unlocked?
Will have to rig up lights but that does not seem like a big deal.
Suggestions welcome though.
Thanks, John

I would remove the rear driveshaft and put both the tranny and the t-case in
neutral.
(obviously you want to ensure your hubs are unlocked as well)

ok...here i am again with the question. i'm looking for a roof rack that
works with rain gutters instead of drilling. i don't really like the
yakima load warrior basket, but might have to settle. have any of you
found a roof basket from wilderness, surco, or con-ferr that fits with
the raingutter mounts? and if so...can you post pics.
Thanks,
Jacob
