I haven't heard of it in a truck yet. However, someone
has done the work to make a bellhousing to turn this
front-driver engine into a standard longitudinal
engine. That's about all I know though, I simply have
a short snippet of video my dad shot at the SHO Shop
in Orange County CA, while they were trying to put one
in a street rod (Model A style I believe, it was just
a bare chassis). I no longer remember if the tranny in
this case was an auto or manual.
They had a claimed 220hp at the flywheel from the
factory, but it took a fair bit of tweaking to get a
true 220+ out at the front wheels. Sweet engine
though, when the secondary runners open at about
4400rpms it sure goes zoom.
