They were based out of Hemet Ca.
kinda the same as Advanced Adapters.
I got my 231v6 to a stock 4spd bellhousing
and clutch setup for the '80 RHD from them many moons ago.....
As far as I know they went under about 8 years ago.
(I got a pilot bearing from them in '92 and they went away shortly
thereafter,
and now I can't find another source for one)
I think I may still have a catalog on them somewhere...I'll check and see..

from Milemarker.

I am in Austin. You can borrow mine.
It isn't a 2 1/4 it is a 2 1/8 that
works. I bought mine at Sears for
under 20 dollars.
I have an adapter to 1/2 drive as well.

If you can the June or July issue of Four Wheel and Off Road magazine they
have a very good article on this. But what I know is you can't swap in a
engine from a older vehicle. It's supposed to be an engine availabe fromt
he same class vehicle (you can't swap in an engine that was only available
in a car.)
You'll have to meet the smog requirements for a '93. All smog equipment for
the new engine has to be present. And the check engine light must work.
There's some other issues, but those are the big ones. Try and talk to a
smog referee. They're get sources and they're the ones taht are going to
certify it anyways.

Is there any other place to get the Factory Service Manual other than from

I have just reinstalled the head on my '94 22re and can't get it to start. I
suspect a vacuum hose is wrong, or possibly a wire hooked up wrong. I am in
need of this information and the manual I have is worthless in this area.

Bob,
I was looking at a '96 S10 or Sonoma for the donor engine. It sounds like if
all of the computer and smog equipment attached to this vehicle gets
installed I would be ok.
And the Referee is a good idea.
Thanks,

I have heard the 3.0l V6 to be not recomended because it is not much of a

There are numerous write-ups for the first two that you can find by
searching the web, and there have been many thorough discussions that are
now in BB and list archives on this subject as well.

John, I found one in the Harbor Freight at S Lamar and
Ben White. It was in the front clearance bins on the
left side as you enter they had a whole bunch of 3/4"
assorted size sockets. That bin has been full
everytime I've gone in there over the last year so
they keep filling it up. Ya gotta dig through them
yourself cause they sure won't do it if you just call
them. It ran like $4.50, they have an assortment of
adaptors that include 3/4" to 1/2" there too for
another $4 or $5.

I really need a VSV, surely someone whos done an engine swap and/or has an
old motor around has one. Toyota wants $70 for a new one.
Its a little part that is mounted on the valve cover, has 3 vacuum lines and
an electrical connector that goes to it.

=> Hi Kerry,
I have the VSV component New-in-the Toyota box!
It was bought for my '84 4Runner before I sold the 22R (carbureted) engine.
Not sure if it will work for your application.
If you feel that it will then contact /
email me off-list and I'll give you more details.
Best Regards,
~ Dee

If it is part # 88690-89119, the local dealer at Marina Del Rey wants $35
for it. I'm not sure if that's exactly what you're looking for though...
