I have some stock shackles and I have measured them and I have posted
the information on this and the Pirate BBS thread. Measuring in place
is tricky because some of the stock shackle bolts are turned down on the
ends to make a shoulder. The size of the nut and threaded end doesn't
equal the size of the bolt or pin itself. Also some of the bushings
have steel sleeves inside, they can be removed to change the size of the
opening in the bushing.
With 3/4" bolts you *will* need to drill out the bushings (or force the
bolts into them). 18mm will fit much better. If interested, I can get
the proper size M18 hardware.
