Re: TOY: Softtop question
I think Can-Bac uses a piece of flat stock that bolts up the holes on the
back of the cab where the hard bolts to. And then attaches the soft top to
that via snaps or screws. I don't think Can-Bac and Kayline are the same
company. Their soft tops are completely different. The Can-Bac's are a
much nicer top, a little more $$, but well worth it. The Kayline's used
snaps along the quarter panels, and the Can-Bac's use a frame work that
bolts to the hard top holes, and the top attaches to it. The last time I
talked to guys at Can-Bac, they were still using snaps along the tailgate,
but were working on a way to eliminate those. You can check their web
site, I think it's www.can-bac.com. Hope this helps.

I am going to have a custom soft top made for my 4runner.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to attach it in the front (on the back of
the cab) so that it is water tight?
How do Can-bak and (the company formerly known as) Kayline do it?
Anyone have a connection at Can-bak that might be able to get me just THAT
part of the top?
Thanks,
CAZ
