TOY: The Rear Disk Quest - Cont...

I would look at a Sequoia first because the FZJ80 hub
will not fit on
a minitruck axle unless you make an adapter. The
Sequoia hub might be
the same
bolt pattern as the minitruck.

Sequoia is not a full floater.
So - if all I wanted was rear disks - it almost looks
like the Sequoia would bolt up IF one made a bracket
adapter (the Sequioa has a trapezoidal bolt pattern
and the mini truck's was square last I recall)
As expected, the cable exits forward. Makes some sense
if one thinks about the space issues and the reduced
complexity. Hmm - reminds me of the VW Golf's brakes.
Bell crank is nice for off roading as it get the cable
into the rear where its less likely to get hung up
somewhere.
The FZJ80 looked more promising becuase its already a
full floater.
I was hpeing that the hub and spindle could be
adapted, OR the better route (if the Toyota Gods have
provenence) is that the FZJ80 disk will bolt to the
mini truck hub... thus all you would need is
custom bracket (need that anyways)
custom/modified backing plate
EWong (dreaming)
