ok I'm also doing a rear disk conversion on my 87.  I was planning on using 
84 style solid rotors and calipers (the rotors and axleshaft have to be 
lightly machined, I know) and machining my own mounting brackets and was just 
going to buy AP's X-fer case E-brake.  With a rear spool and 5.29's that 
should be enough to hold the truck, right? Would it be worth rigging up 
something like a mico-lock in addition? Any comments, questions?
