TOY: RE: Sequoia Rear Brakes
Sounds alot like a 70's Corvette parking brake. The "drum section" sticks
out on the Vette a bit more than the front one, and if I remember right the
calipers are interchangable front and rear. If Toyota followed suit then it
might still work. Only problem is working on the parking brake. It's a
real PITA. I tried doing the Vette for three hours before I took it to a
tire and brake place. Took the guy about 2 hours with the right tools.

First problem -
It looks like a Tundra rear has a "drum" parking brake
contained within the bolt circle area.
Since its just a parking brake, the drum's "self
engerizing" capability combined with the space created
behing the semi floating axle flange might allow this
to be built in there.
Does anyone know what the Sequoia uses for a parking
brake?
The brake cable does enter the backing plate - hence
my thought that there was a mini drum brake inside.
