TOY: rear fender flares ?

Just a curiosity question, I have noticed that some of
the early toyotas have flared rear fenders (like the
fronts) and some (same generation) have plastic add on
flares - I have the plastic add on ones, and even my
"spare" set has the plastic add on ones, what years
came with the built in ones? I am putting new box
sides on in the spring, and I want to get the ones
with built in flares....
