Re: TOY: How to: Decifer the codes for 'stock' axle gear ratio?

The coding "B03A" refering to your rear diff means that it came with the
8" 2 pinion with 4.10's in an open diff from the factory.

(differential) gear ratio information be located?

| | On mine it's on the sticker in the drivers door jam. Mine says B07A and
| | it's a 4.30 electric locker.

| ==> Thanks Jeff,
| I found a similar code on my Tacoma of B03A.
| Do you or anyone know what the gear ratio would be in the differentials?
|
| Also there was a code of A340F
| (which I believe is the Automatic Transmission).
| My current Taco is equipped with the 3.4L engine.
| Thanks,

On a 4wd Toyota Tacoma where would the stock third member
   gear ratio information be located?

I have heard that it would be in the VIN and have also heard that this
information would be found in the codes located on the firewall in the
engine
  bay.

Does anyone in this Toyota 'collective' know where to find
the differential / stock ring & pinion information?
