Yes,  an incorrectly adjusted throttle position sensor
caused an irregular idle on my 85 22re.

Mine does this when the A/C is.  I've been told that it is due to low Freon
in the A/C system.  I also had this happen once and it was the TPS,
Throttle Position Sensor.
