| Check for a vacuum leak, and look for any cracks in
| the air intake between the AFM and the throttle body.
| The underside of the rubber 90 where it goes from the
| radiator to the throttle body in the crevices of the
| rubber bellows is a good place for unmetered air leaks
| that will cause this. Another possibility is an air
| leak around the t-body or intake gaskets...esp. if
| you've had these off. Spray some carb cleaner around
| these surfaces and listen for an engine speed up to
| indicate the leak.
|
| Have you pulled efi error codes?
==> No, I have not checked the codes on this 4Runner.
Hey David, thank you for these suggestions.
Thanks for these tips!
I will try them and report back my findings.
