RE: ToySUV: 1st Gen 4runner Thule rack

I mounted my front one on the rearmost portion of the steel gutter of the
cab and then the rear one toward the rear of the fiberglass gutter. I've had
it loaded 2 feet high with surfboards in travelbags and driven 1800 miles
into mexico and back from texas without a problem. I've even carried a set
of twin mattresses on top before! I still regularly carry a 10 and a half
foot 50lb longboard to and from the beach at highway speeds with no
problems.

though when I first started using them i had them both on the fiberglass
gutters and the front corner cracked. i think if you have one on the steel
you're in good shape.

Anyone have any Thule's for a 1991 4Runner for sale?

Thanks,
