TOY: Finished Axle Swap and Wanted

For those of you not interested in my rambling...

Wanted: One (1) Parking Brake Mounting Plate that attaches the parking
brake lever on to the backing plate of the rear axle assembly itself. It is
the aluminum piece under the rubber boot back there. I will pay a
reasonable price for a small piece of aluminum with a hole in it... Toyota
does not agree with my logic here apparently since they want like 40 bucks.

...for those of you interested in my rambling (read: bored).

I got the V6 axle purchased from Lee into the Truck on Sunday. It took 10
hours to swap the axles and do what assembly was left - this includes a
search for Gear Lube at 12am. I rebuilt the axles using new seals and
bearings and took the Diff to Toyota and had them install new bearings and
seals in addition to setting backlash and pinion preload. So now every
bearing and seal from the transfer case output shaft backward is new plus
there are all new brake parts. I used the driveshaft from Southbay
Driveline.

Getting the axle off was pretty easy... we just torched the U-bolts and beat
the shocks like a red headed step child with a rubber mallet. I only broke
one brake line (one out of two isn't bad). The bolt that holds the springs
together (in the center) on the drivers side was busted so we had to find a
replacement for that. I had planned to use the aforementioned parking brake
mounting thingy but they literally crumbled away into dust in my hands. I
had two good ones on the axle I got from Lee but I busted off one of the
bolts getting one of them off.

Bolting the new axle up was just that... bolting it up. No biggy, just
minor tweaking...

Before winter, I need to get new tires (I think I have settled on 33x12.5
SSRs), get the pinion seal replaced in my spare diff and swap it with the
front while replacing the inner drivers side oil seal, and swap the back
half of the front driveshaft with a good spare I have because one of the
u-joints is seized. I also need to troubleshoot the blower fan since it
looks like it is going like crazy but it barely blows any air...

*Sigh* Fun times :-)
