And one other thing. I don't have a shop book but the page for the HAYNES
book is 2A-3
"TDC is the highest point in the cylinder that each piston reaches as it
travels up-and-down when the crank shaft turns. Each piston reaches TDC on
the compression stroked again on the exhaust stroke, but TDC generally
refers to the compression stroke."
See....you tore yours down on the exhaust stroke.
