TOY: Spring "copies"

Im not so sure that AOR, All-Pro, Alcan etc would look
all that different...

I have an old set of National/Deaver's and they look
ALOT like the AOR springs. I think that the "parts"
(aka the pads used) pretty much come from one
supplier.

IMHO the "qaulity" of a spring comes from

1 - the STEEL used. In terms of mettelurgy, as well as
thickness, lenght and end cut and taper (if any)
2 - How the peices are chosen and act together.

IMHO - its a black art - if a new batch of steel comes
in - the builder checks it and sez - hmm - not as
flexible - I'll cut these a tad shorter - or something
like that....
