I didn't hear this rumor, but its funny you say that...  after seeing a
pair of All Pro springs go on the front of a friend's truck recently, I
was quite surprised at just HOW MUCH they resembled Alcans. 
Admittedly... how different can spring packs look.....  but I'm telling
you, they could have almost passed for Alcan's.  (leaves staggered just
the same, delrin pad in the end of each leaf, basically identical spring
clamps... basically TOOO similar)
