TOY: Optima Red Top - Purchased
Thanks for all of the tips & suggestions...
I found LOTS of places that sell them, and lots of prices. The best I found
was a friend gave me the email of a guy who could get me one for $113
delivered.
I thought about it, but then decided that if I ever needed a warranty claim,
buying one from an auto parts store would be my best option.
Was resigned to buying one from Advance Auto for $129 plus tax, but happened
to stop by Pep Boys and what did I see - 2 Optima batteries! Both were red
tops, one was lower ca than the other and they were priced $109 and $119
respectively. I went ahead & got this one:
http://www.optimabatteries.com/products/starter/3478-1050.htm - $119
This is the other one:
http://www.optimabatteries.com/products/starter/7535-925.htm - $109
Not knowing any other difference, I got the one with the higher ca and cca
ratings :-)
Once I return my battery, I walked away with this one for just under $130...
more than I would like, but not too bad for the convenience of having it NOW,
especially since I had to roll-start the truck through the yard just to get
to work today ;-)
Thanks again!
