Where is the EFI relay 4 prong 90987-02004 M4located in a 89 toy 4x4 extra
cab v6? I looked under the dash, but could only find the 3 prong relay
90987-01003 m3

I think I have finally solved the 88 4-runner v6 not starting mystery. It
appears every time it rains snows or gets cold, my truck will not start.
Will turn over, with spark and fuel, but will not fire. Anyways I ran 38's
on my truck last memorial day weekend and had to do a little fender firewall
modifcation with the 5 pound sledge hammer. Last nite it rained pretty hard
and it would not start, this am it started and I made it out of the driveway
and it died. I took out the M4 efi relay and it was soaking wet. I took it
appart and it is corroded and wet/rusty inside. I think the rain/snow comes
in when I am driving down the road and then the M4 efi sensor gets wet and
it will not start. Then it warms up and dries out and starts. Any one else
have any ideas? I think I have it licked, but I want to use the one out of
my 89 and try it before I spend $30 on a new relay. Thanks.
