Basically, it boils down to 3 types (sans Turbo and v6 cases)

1. '84 - '87 Carb - Behind G52 - Shifter in tranny
2. '85 - '88 EFI - Shifter in case
3. '89 - '95 EFI - Shifter in tranny

There.... now they not only have a list of what is what, but they can tell
what years are what. It is important while calling around for parts to know
what possible year/version you will need!

To answer your - you need a tcase with the shifter inside - that would be a
'85 - '88 case from behind an EFI.
