Re: TOY: Transfer cases - Types?
I would just LOVE to know who started all of the talk about designating which
4 cyl transfer case is which by using the fact that it is EFI or not to
determine anything?
I have seen more confusion because of this silly way of determinging what is
needed for dual cases swaps, and I wish it would stop.
AFAIK, there are really two types - one has the shifter in the top of the
transfer case, the other has the shifter in the transmission tail housing.
NO MATTER WHAT - when doing a dual case setup you will need the transfer case
with the shifter in the top of the transfer case! EFI, carbed - who cares!
And if you can't find one with the shifter in the top of the transfer case,
you can get the other style and convert it to work per Marlin.
But can someone PLEASE explain to me why people continue to use the silly
EFI/carbed reference when talking about transfer cases? I juts don't get
it...
