TOY: electric locking limited slip

My friend who I help with his project vehicles just recieved one of the
electric locking limited slip carriers.
They (Tractech inc.) sent him one to test out. They wanted it installed for
Moab Easter Safari but we are working on his new buggy and his other jeep
has a really bent rear axle tube. So it will not be installed for Safari.
But, it is using an electric solenoid like the Toyota electric locker. For
the Dana 44 they modified a rear cover to mount the solenoid to. This looks
like it is in a worse position for damage over the Toyota design.
Backing up or draging over a rock and dropping off of it would not be safe
for the solenoid. It will be interesting to see what people design to
protect it.

It came with the carrier, modified access cover, wiring, solenoid.

We will have to wait and see. I think we will get his buggy running (still
might make Easter Safari with it) before he tears down his '43 flatty to
install the locker.

With them mounting the solenoid to the rear access cover they will probably
not be making one for the Toyota and Ford 9" because these have no access
covers.

Oh well
