TOY: electric locker or air locker??

for you that have these setups i have just a few questions....1st is which 1 
would be overall better??   2nd is.....i know the air lockers are expensive 
but are the electrics??? 3rd.......if i went with an electric locker, would i 
have to completely switch my rear axles and housing over to a newer 1?? i 
have an 82' truck and i am wondering this because i have my rear-end welded 
up now....i love my rear-end locked, BUT, on the road it is not to 
friendly......any info would be greatly helpful.....thanks alot
