Mike,
Consider installing the cross dilled rotors from Downey, or Performance
Products.
I installed these several years ago. I tend to drive really fast...and therefore
often need to slow down really quick. I used to experience sudden flashes of
life before my eyes
when I realized that I was not going to be able to stop in time, pror to hitting
an obstacle in time.
I installed the cross drilled rotors in the front on my Toy 4Runner and now I
literally
can stop on a dime.
Granted, they do have disadvantages:
If I wear the brake pads down (TRD Carbon/Copper Pads) intothe rotor
I have to change the rotor. It cannot be turned on the conventianal rotor lathe.

Try them you might like them.
