TOY: Another steering Question
This is my first post so I'll let everyone know about my truck before I ask
my question...'83 short bed, 5.29's, lock-rights F/R, 3" springs + extended
shackles, RS9000's, Marlink tie-rod, 34" Swampers(going to 35's in 3 weeks),
and it's my daily driver...I drive maybe 2-5mi in a day.
So here's my question...After I installed my Marlink tie-rod I realized that
my steering stabilizer u-bolts wouldn't fit over the larger dia. rod, so I
figured that I could go without it. Well after time my drag-link began
having excess play. I've tighten the screws to compress the little springs
more but the steering wheel has a wobble feeling, kinda like a side to side
wobble. The steering box feels tight so I think that without the stabilizer
the extra wobble from the taller tires are having a hay day with my
drag-link.
Should I put the stabilizer back on? Or what? Should I start thinking
about cross-over system?
