I would take it apart and look it over before thinking about buying new
ones! It was probably put back together wrong, or something stupid like
that.

Take off the 6 bolts holding the hub face on, pull the guts (being careful
not to pop the spring off!!!). Turn the dial to the "unlocked" position
while holding the splined part from turning. The spline should be in - or as
close to the hub face as it can get.

If not, then you should be able to rotate it so that it is correct.

WARNING!!!! - If you pop the spring off (coil one that holds the spline to
the hub face) - it is a PITA to get it back together!!!

Otherwise it is a simple job ;-)

While you are in there, a little cleaning and some fresh grease would be a
good thing.
