I just did my custom rear spring packs with dual shackles and so far I
really like 'em...

I used springs out of a Heep Cherokee and added two leaves out of a Scout
for a total of six.  It moved the rear axle back about 3 1/2" so I had to
get a longer drive shaft, but I found that a drive shaft from a '94 'Runner
fit perfectly with NO modifications (which, btw, I found at a local
wrecking yard for only $45).  In fact, the splines matched up, so I didn't
even have to unbolt the front yoke, I just used it.
