RE: TOY: New Engine



I am just weary about buying used, because I know everyone is not as anal as
some of us about maintenance...  I could have saved myself a lot of trouble
if I would have compression checked this motor before I bought the truck...
Oh well, I will look around, if I can find one with low miles off a late
model truck I may go that way.  I know these trucks will go a long way but
only if you take care of them.  The 20R in my '80 has rolled over 375,000
miles, and it still runs (although it needs exhaust work).  Thanks for the
advice though.
