TOY: RE: Making gas tanks

I've been considering making a new tank for my truck also.  I'd like to
remove the old tank and mount a new one between the frame rails to the rear
of the rear axle (remove spare).  With the 3" body lift I plan to install,
I'd use the top of the tank as the bed floor and have the filler surface
mounted in the bed.  The bottom of the tank wouldn't extend below the bottom
of the frame rails.  This probably wouldn't work with a bobbed bed though
and I'll have to move the rear crossmember/spare tire hanger.
