I just swapped in an ATK long block in my 1987 Suzuki Samurai. After some
minor oversights on my part, everything went fine. I haven't had warranty
issues because it's just now at 500 miles, but I've heard they are good at
solving your problems. They are one of the larger mass remanufactures
around. Another similar company is Jasper. You can also look in you local
phone book for companies in your area who may have a block in stock if time
is an issue.
