ATK is another rebuilder that often works with local shops
(http://www.atkengines.com/). I had an ATK engine (or 2) in my 4Runner.
First one was bad, they replaced it for free and then the head warped in about
a year and that too was replaced, warped again and then I bought a new head.
Not to thrilled with their quality control, but they do stand behind their
warrantee, 3yrs, 36K miles. If you do go with ATK, be sure the shop you work
with has a good working relationship with ATK. The place I used didn't seem
to be too good in that dept., lost a lot of time on the 2nd repair due to
miscommunication, etc.
