TOY: New Engine

Well, I have finally come close to having the money for a new engine...
since I haven't heard anything bad about TAP I will probably go with their
rebuilt motor, unless I hear a better offer of reliability vs. cost between
now and then.

Anyway, I am looking for any knowledge that anyone here would like to impart
as almost everyone here has pulled one of these engines.  I would like to
get away with as few surprises as possible.  I have a complete gasket set
coming but would like to know if there is anything else that I may need when
replacing the block that I am not thinking about.  Any tips and tricks would
be greatly appreciated... not to mention well honed advice. 

I do have a cherry picker and a large heated garage!

I will be using my intake manifold and my exhaust manifold plus accessories.
