This happened on my truck. Pull apart the steering column. On the
backside of the switch, you will find some metal strips with contacts
covered by a plastic cover. I believe the center one isn't making the
appropiate contact when you pull the high beam switch. I bent it a
little and it has been working fine for me for a few months.
