Re: TOY: Car and Driver: Ford Explorers

What if the big SUV is a 2WD and therefore not the "Faux Wheeler" you
mentioned below? Wht if that SUV is also the tow vehicle which hauls the
real wheeler to the trails? And what if the consumer just decides they like
and want that "faux wheeler" because this is the United States of America
and they have that choice?

I would venture from your post, Mr. Robert "Franken Taco" Cannon, that you
are biased indeed. Perhaps your bias is not directed as Ford Explorers or
Fords in general, but rather as SUVs as a whole.

I too am biased, I'm biased in that I don't see why anybody would take a
brand new Tacoma, cut off the suspension, install a Dana 44, the roll it,
fabricated a custom flat bed, and then pester Clune enough so that they use
your Tacoma for a new gear reduction system. No, maybe, I'm not biased, just
jealous...

Hey Robert, I'm thinking of heading up to Clayton for a few days the week
between Christmas and New Years. Perhaps you and Jon would like to come up
for some fun in the snow covered Kiamichi Mountains? I'm hoping it'll be
snow covered.
