A few things .....
Is the truck an auto or manual tranny? (manuals seem to get better milage)
Do you have the stock size tires installed? If no, your speedo/odometer is
probably off a few.
I have gotten as high as 25mpg on the highway in my 4Runner, and I am
running 33s (milage calculated by GPS).
