TOY: TPS and AFM Adjustment

I have heard a bit about adjusting these two sensors and how this
improves power and driveability on the 22RE engine.

Could someone give me some details of what procedure is involved? Also:

1) is the acronym AFM indicating the mass-air sensor on the filter box?
2) Is it possible to adjust this? I looked and I was under the
impression that it is a sealed unit.
